THEATRE GAME
Look out!
The group stands in a wide circle. Each participant picks up an imaginary pie from the ground, leans back and "throws" it to someone on the other side of the circle.
It's not a competition, it's like a performance and has to be acted out in slow motion. While the thrower, throws, he/she has to watch out for the "pie" headed his/her way and duck when before it "hits".
This game can be played with only two participants as well. Like a slow motion movie where every movement is studied and controlled.
For ESL give students a word to yell when they throw the pie.

IMPROVISATION
The Dog Sitter
Two actors: A, B
For ESL write the sentences on the blackboard
A hires B to take care of his/her dog Dicky.
A makes sure B knows all the details about Dicky, what it eats, how it eats, what it likes, when it's supposed to go out, and so forth. A leaves in his/her car.
B starts to fix Dicky's food when Dicky jumps out the window and runs away.
B calls the dog's name. The phone rings, it's A asking if everything is okay.
B says cheerfully everything is fine while looking out the window.
Finally B sees Dicky runs out and puts the dog on the leash, but Dicky won't budge. B pulls with all his/her strength, then pushes with all his/her strength. Finally the dog is in the house.
A gets home (parks the car, opens the door) greets the dog who is ecstatic. A wants to know how things went. B says casually that everything went fine, no problems.
